BACK TO INSPIRATION

World Down Syndrome Day

On the 21st March we observe the World Down Syndrome Day which is a global awareness initiative.  This date has been specifically chosen to represent the third copy of chromosome 21.  On this day, different organisations and associations around the world hold activities to raise awareness on what Down Syndrome is, what it means, as well as emphasising the contribution of people with Down syndrome to the local communities.

To contribute towards this initiative, The Duke is organising a sock colouring session on the 19th March for which children are invited.  Children will be given the required material to free their imagination and decorate their own sock.  The socks will then be displayed in the lobby till the 21st March.  On the 22nd March, a sock will be randomly chosen, and its decorator will win a 50 voucher from Original Marines.  Help us raise awareness and participate in this activity.

Event will take place on the 19th March between 10.30 and 12.30 at The Duke Shopping Mall.
